Grocery Shopping

While I have a great appreciation for my friend, Dasha, who is a great frugal shopper, I find myself not having to go to the grocery store every week -- which to me is a good thing. I have been cutting coupons and waiting on the sales and have had good luck. Yet I have stacks of coupons and only usually go to the grocery store every two weeks unless we need bread or milk. Since there are only 3 of us, it is pretty easy to make things last for a couple of weeks.
So I have no great shopping experience to boost about. I am finally through Christmas shopping as well. Now time to relax and enjoy the reason for the season!!!!

Special K coupon

If any of my Jesup friends have an opportunity, coupons.com has a $1/1 coupon for Special K blueberry cereal. It just so happens to be the only cereal I eat. If you won't use the coupon, please print and give to me!!!! I LOVE the cereal and am always looking for coupons for it!!!

Kroger Savings

Reflection Update

Man, it doesn't seem like my last post was in September! I have been SO busy and the time has just flown by! Be assured though, I did visit some of my favorite sites many times in the last few months but I will have to admit that the time away from this blog has been a much needed break. Becoming the Director of Women's Ministry at my church has taken way more time that I could have even imagined -- Not to mention spending quality time with my family and friends! Please know that you have been missed but now is just not the time for me to start back blogging about my money saving efforts. I am prayerfully following God's will and right now, this blog is not part of it. Thanks again for always checking in and even leaving a comment! Drop me a line anytime.....keep up the financial frugality!

A Time of Reflection

Well I have to admit that when I started this blog, I was so excited and was able to be on the internet several times a day. This has changed quite a bit over the last few months and my time has been stretched so much that it is wearing me down. This blog then became almost like another "job" and that is not what I intended.
You have probably noticed my "absence" from the blogging world for almost a week. During this time, I have taken time to reflect about my priorities, my time, my family, my church obligations, etc. Unfortunately, this blog takes the lowest rank of priorities and I am sad about it. But my husband has also expressed his desire for me to be on the computer less and be more present with him. My eyes have been truly opened and I can now see how much time this blog has taken and how much "work" it has been.
While I have made some good "friends" through this blog, I know that there are other resources for you to find most of the items I posted here. I will leave you with some links at the bottom of some great blogs who will have the posts for you. First, I want to say THANKS to Money Saving Mom for inspiring me to be more frugal and helping me get started CVSing. THANKS to Denise over at The Centsible Sawyer for her "friendship" and encouraging all of us to find savings in many different places. Last but not least, THANKS to Kaye over at MrsNespysWorld for her friendship and encouraging me as a mom, as a Christian, and as a blogger.
I will keep checking this blog on occasion so I am not completely disappearing. Feel free to continue to email or comment on the blog. I promise to check them periodically! I will miss you all and thank you so much for your support of this blog! If I slow down and God allows, maybe I can come back to posting more often one day. Thanks again!!!

Need Reader Help --- Walgreens

Well many of you heard my wonderful annoucement at the end of August that the new CVS was now opened. Well Walgreens is not far behind. It looks as though it will be opened in the next month or so.
So I need your help. I've never shopped at Walgreens before and need some help in figuring out how to work the deals there. I know they have something called Rebate Rewards but not sure how all that works.
Have you found deals better at CVS or Walgreens? Have you found Walgreens to be better as far as coupons are concerned?
